At 31 years old, this will likely be the last hurrah for Thomas Jones in free agency, and while the possibility still remains that he’ll come back to play in New York next fall, Kansas City has apparently made the first move to lock him in to a new deal. ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that Jones is scheduled to visit with the Chiefs at the team’s facilities in Kansas City on Monday, and considering their need for a solid running back to pair with superstar in the making Jamaal Charles, the Chiefs will be pulling out all the stops to keep him in town for the long haul.
